New Macbook - Old HDD

Hi. I have an old Macbook with a good hard drive. I'm buying a new Macbook and need my files from the old Mac's hard drive transferred over.

Old Macbook doesn't boot due to logic board, so I know I need to use an enclosure, but which type?

I heard some enclosures don't come with instructions, so are there instructions anywhere online I may find?

Detailed steps are always appreciated since I've not done this before.

You can buy any enclosure for 2.5" S-ATA HDDs, be it USB 2.0 (from 10€ upwards) or Firewire (from 50€ upwards).
