I received my new MacBook Pro 13.3" five days ago, and it is absolutely amazing. This system feels much more responsive than the Dell Studio 17 (with a Core i7 720QM) that I was using before. The gaming performance (in Windows 7 through Boot Camp) is sufficient for my needs, as I get playable frame rates in all the games that I do play. I have also been able to fulfill all of my other needs including re-encoding files, graphic design, photo processing and other tasks. I also am enjoying the increased mobility of the system. It might be surprising for most people as to why I'd take a step down, but it doesn't feel like it, especially considering that mobility and ease of use (set and forget) are very important for me. (I had a MacBook Pro 15.4" before my Studio 17, but had to switch for research work.)
