Bought a sweet new 15" MBP and want to use it at home and on the move. At home I'm using it as a desktop too. Wanting to attach it to a brand spanking new LG 34UC98 on my desk. Asked at Apple Store for the best way to do it and was sold an adapter thunderbolt 3 to 2, and a Thunderbolt 2 cable to go from adapter to monitor.
When connected I get strange flashing of both the monitoring the MacBook. There are multiple settings for resolution, mirroring, refresh rate, among others. Adjusting these is challenging as everything blinks!
Has anyone tried this set up? There seem to be a plethora of choices as far as adapters and "hubs" or is it as simple as trying other adapters?
