Hi..again if you have seen my post. hahaha.

Anyways, a week into my new macbook (bought it in may) this happened after I opened it from sleep. The screen was totally unresponsive but I could still move my mouse. I had to force reboot it.

I went to the applestore and they said they couldn't detect anything wrong and I should record a video the next time this happens. It hasn't happened recently but I haven't been using it all that much since then. Like a couple hours since that happened. Should I push for a replacement regardless as something like this shouldn't be happening anyways? Or is it just a one off case?

Thanks!

If it has happened more than once, and you now have evidence, I would take to apple store with the evidence and ask for a replacement. (Do you have applecare?) You buy an expensive laptop for it to work, and that is the least that you expect, and the reason you buy applecare.

If the computer is new, AppleCare or not, it will be covered under warranty.
