I just got a new (last years model, but new in box) MacBook pro and I charged up the battery by it states that the battery charge will be gone in 3 hours or so, instead of the 7 hours that was advertisted what should I do?:apple:
 
Have you calibrated it yet?

1. Flip to percentage left, not time
2. Did you turn up brightness, have BT, Wifi all that stuff on?
3. What are you doing with it
4. you will not get the advertised 7 hours unless you are doing basic web surfing with lower recommended brightness. 5 is more likely. I get 5 ish doing more intensive things on my 2010 MBP, and I'm supposed to get 9...
