when can we buy the new mbp 17" in the actual design (unibody) ?

is it that hard to "enlarge" the 15" ...

What do you mean actual design?

You mean the unibody? I'm sure they are trying to figure out some design limitations like, how to hinge a big heavy glass display on a computer and have it stay open.

they will probably update it in the first quarter of 2009.

"probably" meaning there is a chance they won't, but i think they will.

you could just get a refurbished 17" last generation model. that's what I plan on doing anyway.

I hope they have sorted out all the stupid problems which related to the unibody.

Basically, the design process is in some respects an entirely new problem in the 17" case, with considerations such as which side to put all the ports that related to how the logic board is laid out in the new case.
