I have just finished setting up the MacBook pro 460 graphics, 2.9 ghz 1.o t hd
I returned the MacBook pro 2015 (mid) and I am happy I did it but I did have to buy 2 of there adapters to get things to work for me.
its all loaded parallels running win7 (at7.5) and its fast ,much faster than the 2015
everything is working fine , few small quirks that should get straightened out soon
This is a very fast computer, I have been using ext hard drives and usb 3 128 gig sticks and it transfers files great

also the battery is not as long as the 2015 MacBook pro, the 2016 is 5 hrs working steady loading and unloading
[doublepost=1481162595][/doublepost]its running windows 7 as fast or better than my dell work station 32 ram

The new MBPs are very nice machines. Don't listen to all the naysayers. You're going to love it and be happy with your decision over the long term.

You have 5 hours in windows

I am happy with the change and I was lucky to be able to try the other one first, cost me a lot of time as my backup would not pick ups so it was a another 9hrs of loading to get it where the other MacBook Pro was in program status.
But thats an experience.
I have not had much to do with the bar across the top yet, been too busy getting things right
It runs both op systems well

I also did get clean my Mac 3 and thats good

What battery life you get

What prompted you to go with the new MBP vs the mid-2015 model? How much more battery life did you get with the mid-2015?

Well I have always been the type that when I buy I buy the newest tech, the 2015 MBP was fine but as you know once you have it nothing can be changed. And sadly for some reason or other I got a good deal on the MBP 2015 and apple care, seems I ran into the right sales person as you never get a deal from apple .There is a big difference in processor visible speed , file handling etc
The battery on the MBP 2016 is not quite 1/2 the MBP 2015, I think the battery on the MBP 2015 was 8-9 hrs this one is 5.5, I read
its thinner so it has less battery for space concern.
I also got 2 adapters so I am ok with usb3 and hdmi where as the MBP2015 all that came standard
[doublepost=1481208155][/doublepost]i felt there probably is a processor difference in the 2016

Yeah, my mid-2015 Macbook Pro 15" gets about 11 hours on a charge with word processing and light Internet use.

I wasn't lite use , as I was loading and unloading but the 2015 is lot easier on power
