Any rumors or speculation if the new MBP might have a 3G Internal Antenna for internet access?

I believe some other companies already offer this feature in their laptops?

Just get rid of the "bar of soap antenna" sticking out the side and I am so in! :D

What is EVDO?

EVDO is the CDMA version of 3G. Verizon Wireless uses CDMA (as compared to ATT and the rest of the world that uses GSM)

By the way, that article is from May 2007, so most likely not going to happen.

But the 3G option exist already: http://tinyurl.com/2b3fj9

I know what you mean and these built-in ones are no good for people with multiple computers.

I kind of wonder whether it's too transient of a technology to put in. What about 4G, what about WiMax?

I agree it would be very nice to have included, but it's kind of nice how Apple doesn't include things that get outmoded too quickly. Although, for example, even some things Apple includes like the iSight camera get out-moded rather fast.

If they chose to install 3G, I would assume the card would be install under the memory shield, so it would be easily upgradeable in the future.
