Its literally the same GPU just a rebranding. Head on over to AMDs official site and you'll see for yourself. The ONLY difference is 1.9 TFLOPS compared to 1.86 TFLOPS which is nothing and everything else is exactly the same.

The site in question. It looks exactly like a rebadge from the specs. A marginal bump in clock speeds from a more mature manufacturing process, but otherwise the same GPU.

The free upgrade to 4GB must be what makes all the difference on my 2017 mbp. 4K monitor much smoother

There are no benchmarks that I am aware of yet. Someone on Reddit said they observe 10% higher performance.

The FLOPS is just a theoretical maximum and not nessessrily indicative of real world performance. The new card could indeed be 10% faster despite the same theoretical peak simply because of an optimized clocking profile. Maybe it's able to maintain turbo boost more reliably.

The flops comparison is pretty meaningful across the same architecture on the same process in the same cooling system. Comparisons that don't account for driver improvements might see a significant jump, however.
