dont buy the Buyers Guide says "Don't Buy - Updates soon" and there has been rumors of MacBook Pro updates soon (no one knows exactly when of course) and supposed leaked pics of the new MacBook Pro's case.

Look, there is a long running post on this and (seems like) 10 new threads daily.
Since you are too lazy to read:
1. No one knows. There is speculation and rumors, but that is about it.
2. Please read the other thread about this and post in there.
3. If you need it now, buy. If not, wait. That simple. Plenty of people here (including myself) 'cannot wait' for the update/redesign, but if it isn't a necessity for tomorrow, sit on your hands.
Please use the convenient search feature or just browse the first page.

I couldn't have put it better myself. To the OP, buy if you need, wait if you merely want. Re time, nobody knows, except the inestimable Mr Jobs. Mid October seems a reasonable guess, but we do not know, we are offering guesstimates. After all, the forum is called Mac Rumors, not Mac Facts.
