Hi, I just got a new macbook pro 13". In the past I heard that you had to do a specific "battery ritual" so as to optimize the performance for the rest of its life. Is this true with the new batteries and if so, what do I need to do?
Thank you

Charge it up and drain it once a month.

Don't worry about it that much, newer batteries don't really need any conditioning. Apple has a pretty sophisticated battery in the MacBook Pros that has a piece of hardware to look after it, but completely discharging it once a month (calibrating, as they call it) won't hurt.
