I'm new to the board, so apologies if this is a faq.
The story:
My old battery stopped lasting for more than 40 minutes on a full charge, then wouldn't charge at all (also, no green light, or at least one that is too dim to actually see) . I assumed that it was probably a dead battery (worked on that one with heavy usage for about a year and a half), and left the new on charging for about 24 hours, just to be safe. It showed me that it charged about 35% at that point. Major bummer. Since then, it won't charge up while plugged in and on, and charges at about a percent an hour if turned off.
I'm still getting no green light on my charger with my computer.
Things I've tried:
- Restarting the whole system. No dice.
- Using a different charger with my computer, then using my charger with another computer. Both resulted in the same disappointment: my computer won't get a green charge light, and the other computer does.
I'm hesitant to take my computer in because it's usually a week or so turn around at best, and I work from my computer. Any ideas??
