I just received my new MBP from Apple. I own a 2010 iMac also. I would like to transfer "certain" info and files from my iMac to my Macbook Pro.
I know about migration asst. BUT i dont have a firewire cable, can i use a ethernet cable? or?
I also have a time machine on my iMac with backups..
whats the best way to transfer? i do not want to transfer apps ( dont want the same apps on my MBP ) and i also do not want to transfer all my movies in my movies folder ( way to large for my MBP )
