I have the new MBP 16''. After some time the performance suddenly became very bad (all freezing, slow etc.). So about 2 months ago I made a clean installation (quite a demanding act) and all started working ok again. Now, in the last few days it seems to be back. Opening any app takes very long (the icon in the dock keeps jumping forever), beach balls, Safari opening pages extremely slow or not at all (although the internet is very fast). Restarting the computer helps just a little for a short time, then all back again.

Seems that new installation is necessary again ?? How can these things work like this, after spending fortune one them. Apple really going to some sh*t, not caring at all ?

I have the latest versions of everything. I have also made Etrecheck - "no issues found".

Not really nice. I really wonder what is going on.

Looks like your Mail app is acting up, and do you have a large iCloud Photo Library? "photoanalysisd" is when your MacBook is processing photos library. Opening Photos app will pause it, so the fact you do not have it open fits in with your case. It takes a long time to process a large library but once it's done, you should be fine for that.

As for Mail - I would use some other third-party app, I've had nothing but issues with the native app and after switching over to another mail client my problems went away. I personally use Spark.

Well, it depends on the given time. I have no iCloud Photo Library (switched off) - at least I think it works like this.

I don't see anything wrong in your new provided screenshot of the activity monitor, but if your performance is alternating between laggy and totally fine, and you see photoanalysisd as your cpu hogger when it gets laggy, it's an iCloud photo syncing issue. Check if your Photos app has any libraries and/or images

Switch to the dGPU and see if that helps. The iGPU on the 9th gen i9 is simply TRASH.

Becomes a bit hopeless. The apps keep start very slow, all is slow and freezing, Safari open pages slow or not at all. I restart the computer. Seems ok for a while , then again. I have i9 8 core and 32 GB RAM (!). Do I have to reinstall everything again ? :(( (and then again ? )

When the slowdown and freezing starts, can you take a screenshot of your iStat GPU memory usage and post that?
