Hi all, recent rumors of new mac book pro have been discussing about changes in the GPU on a macbook pro. My question about this is: If the GPU on the new one doesn't change, how good is it? Would it work ok on new software or games?

Thanks

If they do upgrade the GPU it will be to the 8700 which is basically just an overclocked 8600. You can google 8600M performance tests to get all the info you want on how they perform in games and in media editing.

Could ATI be a possibility, since the new iMac changed from nVidia to ATI?

I'd say so. We'll probably see either the same card as the current MBP or one that is just slightly faster, from nVidia or ATi.
