Hi,
I have a brand new 2016 MacBook Pro and first thing I did when I got it was check for updates, one of which was an OS update.
After waiting about two hours it's still not completed and was at around 80% completed at a black screen with the apple logo.
I restarted the machine to see if that helps and now I'm able to get to the login screen but when I enter the password there is a progress bar undernith my username which is stuck at about 80%
Has anyone experienced this before or anyone know of how to correct this.
Thanks!
Update
I've tried resetting PRAM and running first aid on the disks and no errors, still stuck after login. Interestingly where my user picture once was at login it's now been replaced with a generic icon if this makes any difference or suggests anything.
