It has been a while since I have bought a new MacBook pro, but I have a question about it.

Basically, I am hoping to wait until the end of June to order one (16" MacBook Pro) in the hope that there is a minor spec bump, but I want to use it as a tax deduction for this financial year. I will be customising the order (upgrading a lot of it).
Whether they do a spec-bump or not, when you order online, do they charge your credit card and issue an invoice straight away, or is there usually a few days delay? I just want to get it invoiced and paid for this Financial Year (by end of June).
I am in Australia, if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

IIRC they will send an invoice once the item has shipped. They usually put a hold on your CC first. I’m in aus too and that’s how it’s been for me.

They send an invoice when it’s preparing to ship. And at this point, that’s taking anywhere from 5 days to 20 depending on the model.

Hmmm... ok. I might end up ordering one mid-June and if they do release a new one with a spec-bump then I can always return and get the new one.

I recently ordered a MacBook Pro on the 2nd, received the invoice on the 6th, with an invoice date of the 3rd. The hardware arrived on the 4th.

My dates are probably a little too close together but you probably want to order sooner rather than later if you need an invoice dated before the end of June.
