New MacBook Pro owner

I bought a MacBook a couple of weeks ago and had been regretting not spending the extra $ on the MacBook Pro. Luckily my wife started complaining about how much nicer the MacBook was than her old Dell laptop. A light immediately came on in my head. I get the MacBook Pro, and my wife gets the MacBook that she was drooling over.

To be honest we had been a PC family for years. I dealt with all of the security issues and frankly was looking for a better way.

Love love love my new MBP. I could have bought a MacBook about a month and a hald earlier, I am glad I held out.

Congrats! I went from a MBP to a MB and back to a MBP. The screen size was the clincher for me.

In the market for MBP...

...now that I am ready to go shopping, pictures of the new MBP 2009 form factor appear, also talk about some overdue improvements... What shall I do? Here is my solution, I buy now the MBP 17" high res. glossy, 4Gig Ram, 200GB, 7200rpm HDD. When the new one is in the shelves the shop exchanges old for new for a small extra payment.

Does anyone think the new 17" MBP's are going to be out by Jan./Feb. 09??

I read on AI that there will be some upgrades on MBPs in August. What would we be able (realistically) to expect?

I think most people think that since Montevina is being shipped on July 14th that will hae the MBP update within a few months. Seems realistic to me.
