So I waited to buy my MacBook Pro, and it seems to have paid off. As you probably know, apple released new configuration setups. This is great news for me as it looks like I'm going to save some money and get more power than what I initially thought. I'm planning on using this laptop for as long as possible (as a desktop replacement as well) and I want to make sure that it has the power to last me several years. I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to need the 8G of RAM right away (nor am I really willing to shell out $1000), so I was wondering if that is something that can be upgraded later. I heard that the RAM used by the new MacBook had to be certified by nvidia, this could be totally false but there isn't much information out there right now as these are new to the market.

If anyone has any information or answers, it would be greatly appreciated!
