Hello all. Posting this from my new Macbook Pro Retina 13 base model. 8 gb Core I5, 128 gb ssd.

Loving it so far. Kinda miss snow leopard but I'm getting use to Mountain Lion.

My only concern is, I am planning on keeping this for the next 5 to 7 years and hope that the GPU HD4000 can keep up with future OS X releases.

Anyway, the 1500 price drop made me jump in

And what is this lagging issue people keep talking about on here. I am trying to figure it out. I can scroll fine

Also warning about buying an Incase Macbook Pro sleeve. Just be aware that it is designed for the non retina fatter macbook pros, they are somewhat too large for the retinas

Yea, its good stuff. Shocked at how cool it runs and barely can hear the fan. I am tempted to take off the back panel and peak inside but I do not have the necessary screw driver

I think currently patched macs are much better than older 10.8.1 builds. That's what I found anyway. Also, some people are just super nitpicky. I love my 13" retina. Works great for me.
