Hi guys! I just upgraded recently to a 2011 Macbook Pro. I noticed that my laptop internet speed has been suffering, and had thought it was AT&T Uverse on my end. However, I ran a speedtest with my old 2008 macbook pro, and my download speed is literally a fourth of what it should be (8.41 Mbps vs. 1.88 Mbps). Are there settings I can fiddle with to adjust this? I know I haven't provided much info, so some insight on what other information could be helpful would be great. Thanks!

WIFI or Ethernet?

DHCP or static (manually configured) IP?

What box is the DHCP server.

Anti-Virus and or software firewall enable on old an new machines?

If you use wi-fi, try turning off blutooth, sounds weird but both can occupy the 2.4Ghz band and interfere...
