I have a new late 2011 MacBook pro.
I installed a new ssd.
I had previously made a lion USB key so I could install it to a fresh new drive like this.
I used the USB port closer to the front of the machine and it wouldn't read the drive.
The USB port closer to the back read the USB key just fine and I installed lion.
I'm wondering if the front USB port is defective or is this normal behavior.
Once lion was installed I put in different USB keys and USB hard drives in both USB ports and both worked fine for reading and writing all of them.
Anyone else encounter this.
