I am thinking about buying a macbook pro. What do you think about that. Do you know when will be expected new generation of macs. Last time when I bought my mbpro, two months later mbpro unibody was emerged.
I want to avoid it this time. THX

Just go buy a baseline. You'll be fine for many years to come. Nobody knows when the next generation will happen.

Get the baseline model with no upgrades and that will be more than you need.
