I want to buy a new MacBook Pro real soon but I wanted to know if apple is releasing a new line any time soon as I don't want to waste money when a new line is about to come out. Can anyone provide any insight if I should hold out or not?

That's the most sensible answer you'll get here. Nobody here works at Apple nor knows their release dates, all we have is rumors. There's nothing new coming from Intel in the next few months, and Apple usually follows Intel's roadmap, so it's safe to think nothing new will come out in the next 4-6 months.

Even if it did, would you even benefit from the "upgrade"? You haven't told us what you actually do with your computer.
