I'm trying to decide on the new macbook pro either 15 or 17 inch.

Under the specs the higher end 15" model has 1680X1050 specs and is called "High Resolution". Is this better than the 17 inch's 1920x1200?

Thanks

You can see by the numbers that it is a lower resolution. It's called high resolution because it's an upgrade from the standard 1440x900.

I know the numbers are lower but since the screen is physically smaller I thought that it might mean increased resolution ratio wise.

I believe it's a similar pixel density between the two, although I think the 17" has a very slightly higher density.
