new macbook refresh

I have to buy my son a MacBook and I have been waiting for two weeks on rumors that new MacBooks will be released to either get a deal on the old ones or perhaps get one of the new ones for the same cost; i.e., $999.00.

Should I wait? Any evidence that new Macbook line will come in October?

Any word at all?

If your son can wait, I'd wait three weeks at least. If that sounds like a long time, get a machine and if there's a refresh, say a few cursewords and forget about it
