So I just bought the 160GB Seagate FreeAgent Go, cloned my 80GB drive with Carbon Copy Cloner, cracked that sucker open and slid it into my macbook. Everything booted up fine, put the old 80GB back in the FreeAgent case and it works fine! Everything seems the same, I did notice a slight oddity where my key mapping for Quicksilver, Open
-Space, was mapped back to Spotlight. Now for my question, is there anyway to be 100% sure that all my data was cloned properly? How long should I play around with it before wiping the old drive?
Also in case anyone is curious, ST9160821AS is the model # of the drive inside the case. Getting the drive out wasn't terribly difficult, but may not be for the very faint of heart.
