I just bought my Macbook last Friday. Should I return my new Mac because apple maybe is going to came out with a new macbook at Mac Expo. I will like to get some suggestion. I will like to know when the current macbook was release. Thanks

do people research the items they buy? i mean why buy a computer and then take it back? thats what i check out before i lay down 1.5k. but no the macbooks are the newest mac to be updated

click the tab "buyers guide" at the top of the page for product cycles. i think thats what you want

I doubt there will be a Macbook upgrade, as there havent been any real improvements in the CPU side. There isn't as much need to update them compared to the last revision with the new Core 2 Duos.

England almost lost the war!

The Germans kept bombing England and England kept putting off building airplanes for fear of not having the latest and best design.

You must be English with a WWII time warp.

The British...winning a war... fun stuff!  :D

Puhleeeze.... the MacBook got its C2D very recently. It's probably not going to be overhauled. So as far as the risk model goes, you're in much better shape than, say, someone who is buying a Mini (which ought to go C2D fairly soon). But yes, MacWorld will probably result in something you'll lust after. Just deal with it. Or return it. And then buy another one and return that one. And so on and so forth forever and ever.

Ya, maybe something new will be released in Jan., but not likely a new MB. I bought a MB about 2 weeks ago because a) the rev. a bugs have mostly been worked out; b) the MBP 12" "ultra-portable" rumored on this site will be rev.a and it'll 6-8 months before it has had its inevitable kinks ironed out, and; c) I wanted one before xmas.
If I were you, I would do what ever the hell I wanted to do and wouldn't be asking for advice from strangers. ;) :D Merry Christmas!

The new macbook came out just a few months ago, and Apple stopped releasing new macs at MacWorld a while ago.

Where you say "a while ago" do you mean "at the last MWSF in January of this year" because I'm pretty sure the Core Duo iMac and MacBook Pro were new Macs... ;)

But, no, the MacBook will not be updated at MWSF. The next round of updates to most Macs (except Mac mini and the Mac Pro) will be closer to April of next year.

Almost as good as America wining a war

I duno, why don't we go in a new direction... like oh sending more troops; great idea bush, go back to eating pretzels !

Do you think the addition to the MB line he is referring to might be this ultra thin model we have heard discussed? otherwise I agree, no updates right now, but come summer time I hope there are some by way of Intel's handy work.:)

It has only been 6 weeks since the C2D MacBooks were announced. No way will a new model be announced before June 2007.

The C2D MB is an awesome machine and has more power than most people will ever use.
