New Macbook- Transferring data HELP PLEASE

so i just got my new macbook today and i need help getting my music, pics, files, etc. onto the new laptop from my iMac.

So whats the easiest way to do it?

is there a way to just copy the music and photos over because I still want the music on my iMac
