Has anyone done it yet? How was the performance, heat? Really interested in getting a 2.4 macbook and hooking it up to one of Apple's smaller cinema displays, but I was told when hooked up, you don't get full use of the graphics processor?
Well according to my friend, the graphics processor splits the ram between the computer itself and the external display. So in actuality if you had a 128 graphics chip hooked up to an external display, you would only be running on 64 rather than the full 128 if you were just using the laptop monitor.

The 9400M G allocates a minimum 256 MB of system RAM. It is true that OS X splits the allocated video RAM between the displays. You'd get a minimum 128 MB per display.
