I went into my local reseller and they said there out of stock until next week?

is that a clue?

I have to agree with you this is something, I encountered the same thing. Second, there have been numerous reports of resellers not getting new Macbooks any more.

It was just strange

I know I said this in another thread but:

I used to work at a college book store that had a technology department. They have been out of MBs since mid-September and only had two MBPs in stock last time I checked (about two weeks ago). The manager told me they wouldn't have any more in stock "until further notice".

New MBPs (and/or MBs) or not, there certainly is a shortage in some places.
