wow, thats...very interesting

dosent look much like a worthwhile upgrade though, its not even running santa rosa

Well spotted!

That's odd. Has there ever been an update before where there isn't even a speed bump though? That would be rather weird.

I don't think it means an update. I think it means that if you custom ordered your MacBook with 2GB of ram.

A new MacBook would come out after the 26th, meaning it would come with Leopard anyways, which means it would not need the up-to-date.

ok then why is there no option for 4gb macbook pros?

or 16gb mac pros?

Sorry, I didn't look that far.

But still...if there were new MacBooks on the way..they wouldn't be released until after the 26th, re-iterating my point that there wouldn't be a need to have them on the Leopard Up-To-Date list, as they would come with Leopard already.

quite true, so who knows why they are listed...

haha, that would be funny if Apple's update to the Macbook was just an anodized aluminum enclosure and more ram.

Does upgrading the ram of your Macbook when you order change the serial number?

As for "up to date". If these are indeed new ones which are intended to ship alongside the leopard launch I would suspect that they have been in production and being boxed since before Leopard went gold making an upgrade of initial units needed. Now I just hope this turns out to be true and that they don't come with that GMA 950 turd inside anymore.
