So I posted this in gaming but maybe will get more on-point attention here:

I would like some specific recommendations on gaming hardware, both mac native and booted in windows Vista (64 bit) on a Mac Pro early 2008.

Is the general rule the more RAM the better? Is there a point where there's more RAM than can possibly be used? Note I plan on installing vista 64 bit, so I'll be able to use 4gb +.

10,000 rpm HD? Will there be heat problems with a 512 MB graphics card, factory HD, WD "green" 1TB back-up drive and the 10,000 gaming/windows drive all in there?

Graphics card - 8800 beating the ATI 3870? Should I wait for the new ATI cards announced?

Will this require some sort of third party cooling mechanism?

Thanks!
