A Magic Mouse 3 with haptic feedback would be great. I doubt they would use the electromagnet from the MacBook trackpad to create haptic feedback due to its size. Because the Magic Mouse form factor is small, the use of the 2nd generation Taptic Engine (in the iPhone 7) would suffice. I'd like to see a slight redesign of the next Magic Mouse to accommodate a slightly thicker form factor. This form factor would be more comfortable for the user while allowing the relocation of the lightning port to the front as well as housing a larger battery. The Taptic Engine could not only replicate the traditional click of a mouse, but also add different types of feedback, particularly when scrolling vertically (those who have adjusted the alarm on the iPhone 7 would understand). Additional haptic feedback can also be added when initiating different gestures, such as swiping through pages, swiping through full screen apps, or initiating Mission Control.
