Hi,
I’ve been trying to figure out what’s really different about the new Magic Trackpad 3 (A3120, the USB-C one). From what I’ve seen so far, Apple didn’t say much, just switched the port to USB-C and made it require macOS Sequoia 15.1 or later.
Some people on Reddit and YouTube say it feels smoother and more responsive, maybe because of a new Taptic Engine or better internal controller. A few even mentioned it works more fluidly on high refresh rate displays (100-144 Hz).
So I’m wondering - is there actually new hardware inside, or is it basically the same Trackpad 2 with a different connector and new firmware?
Has anyone opened it up or compared both side by side?
Would love to hear from someone who actually tried it
Thanks!
