New mail not bold-faced on 10.6.4...fix?

My new mail messages use to be bold-faced in Mail on my old computer running 10.5.8 but on my new computer, they only get the blue dot next to the message.

How can I get new messages to be bold?

Mail Preferences is usually a good place to start.

Then the "Viewing" tab.
