I downloaded the mailbox app... And it wouldn't open... It would crash immediately... So I rebooted my phone... On rebooting the mailbox icon vanished from my homepage but the appstore shows "open" next to the app which is unresponsive... So now effectively I don't have the app and can't install it again either...

Please help...
 
I didn't come across that problem, it asked if I had a reservation already, then after clicking no, if I wanted to refer a friend. Now I'm in the queue with 420,073 ahead of me and 117,546 behind
 
Just reserved mine and it says 652,437 people in front of me and 80 people behing but the people behind me is growning instantly.
 
Apparently iCloud email is not supported and so I don't think I'll get much use out of this.
 
It's not as though you stand in line and can't do anything else while waiting for the app to be registered...:p

Based on the App store reviews, you'd think Orchestra was holding your phone hostage and making you pay a $500,000 ransom to get it back. It's a free app, people! Relax and be patient! :cool:
 
Once you get the app if you do a complete restore without using a backup you lose your app.
 
This is the first time I've seen or used a queue in an App. It's rather exciting!
I know they are going to add other email services soon, but I hope it's really soon :)
 
I'm in line myself - can't wait to use this app, but I've got to wonder...

How did it pass Apple's requirements and get approved? Is it because it is a free app? Another user here already mentioned this, but, it really doesn't do what it says it will upon downloading.
 
I finally got down to zero people ahead of me, but it has gone to showing negative numbers of people ahead of me and it won't do anything. Can't use it. What now? Am I missing something?
 
Is MacRumors getting paid for good publicity, I thought I put how ridiculous I think this app is.
 
I had 128,000 people in front of me last Friday and this afternoon (Wednesday) my reservation came up. Things working fine so far!

My reservation came up today too, had 129,853 ahead of me. Been looking forward to trying it. So far, I'm not impressed. It isn't working too well. Keeps says "having trouble connecting, will keep trying", won't send replies or receive new emails... WTF :mad:

I thought the whole purpose of waiting was so the servers to go into an overload state.

Countdown has stopped, seems like they currently stopped letting people in. Can anybody please confirm?
 
I wonder if they are having a server problem. I haven't had any success connecting since setting the app up once my reservation was up late this afternoon.
Are others able to send and receive and remain connected to the server?
 
I wouldn't worry, your not missing out on much.

I have iCloud, Gmail and Hotmail accounts.

It only works for Gmail. Now I know what most people do is have all of their mail forwarded to Gmail, but I find that mail often comes through very late this way or sometimes not at all.

Shame because it's actually very good.
