New Maps feature?

Yesterday I was using Maps on my new iPhone 4 and noticed when I zoomed in on my location I could see the nearby and surrounding business names listed. It made it much easier to find where I needed to go. Before upgrading to the Iphone 4 I was using a 3G and never noticed this. I'm not sure if this was an update as part of iOS4 or if I never noticed in the past.

Has anyone else noticed this?

When did they update Maps to show the business names? It hasn't always been this way.

I dunno but it was on googles end. Had this on my 3GS.
