new MB Pro not announcing low battery(

I have noticed my new (last April) MB Pro (El Capitan) does not audibly announce when my battery is almost dead. My old MB Pro always did. I have had some close calls lately because it did not tell me.

I cannot find a setting that seems to be off.

Any ideas? thanks

Do you have the Battery icon in the menubar? If so you should get a message with about 10 minutes of power left:

[doublepost=1480696290][/doublepost]I have the battery icon and do get a quick visual alert that does not linger. If i am not looking right at my screen At that moment, i miss it. There should me an audio alert as there used to be.
