New MB vs. Old MBP

i am fairly new to macrumors forums.... and i am aware that there are already similar posts with similar ?'s.... i am a soon to be college student and im wondering if it would be better to buy a refurb. MBP Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 15.4-inch widescreen display2GB memory 120GB hard drive 8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW) NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 128MB of GDDR3 memory Built-in iSight Camera, or a brand new Black MB: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2GB memory 250GB hard drive1 Double-layer SuperDrive... Please try to elaborate in response thank you !!!!

If you won't be doing tasks that demand the larger screen or dedicated graphics chipset (games), go for the MacBook. The cooler-running CPU, larger hard drive, and more portable size will be better in the long run.
