I launch Word.
Cancel the main 'wizard' page.

(It either crashes here)

Or I then open a document.

(It will sometimes crash here)

I write for a few seconds.

(It will crash here, if not it will within 5 minutes)

Soo frustrated.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Do I need a new version of the Microsoft Office Suite? 2008?

I just spent a ton of money on the machine.
Now my old junky computer works better than my new Air...

...because I need Word!

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Id Say your problem is office 2003

since they never made that for mac

im assuming you meant 2004? if so make sure you have all the updates to make it kosher with leopard

I run Office 2004 daily on my MBA...

Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. I've never had a problem. Did you do a clean install of Office or just copy files over from your old computer. If the latter, I suspect that is the problem. I did a clean install of Office and added the updates. Try that.

Don't have a problem with my Word 2008 version.

I would do a clean reinstall for the Word 2003 to see if this solves the problem. If not, bring it into the Genius Bar to have one of them take a look at it.
