New MBP 2.66 question

So I may go buy one of these bad boys tonight. This will be my first Mac!

I am debating between the 2.66 and the 2.8 MBP. With student ID the prices at the store I’m going to will be $1799 vs $2099. What do you think I should do? Is $300 worth the faster model?

I will mostly be using this computer for making web pages, a little video editing with Final Cut Pro, and recording music. Just for fun not professionally.

you wont notice the difference at all.. even if you had both computers side by side. Get the more expensive one

I'm looking at the same thing.

You need to add in the extra HDD and the extra RAM on the graphics card to your argument.

I'm wondering about the 2.8, personally.

Yes I know the 2.8 models have more of the things mentioned above.

The extra hard drive is no big deal to me. I have an external one for more space. Just the speed concerns me along with the 3MB cache memory vs 6MB.
