There's this slight input latency between moving either the mouse or the trackpad and the cursor moving that I haven't noticed on my previous laptops/computers (PC's). It seems to be occurring as well on the keyboard but hard to confirm.

For a couple weeks I wasn't sure if I was going crazy, here is a link to two gifs (with slow motion video courtesy of iPhone XR) showing the input lag between the mouse/trackpad and the cursor. It is subtle but notice the delay between beginning the movement and the cursor moving.

It's the same regardless of being plugged into the wall, I also disabled "Allow Handoff..." to no avail.

Macbook is up to date, Catalina 10.15.5.

Thank you for any help!!

P.S. Mouse is razer lachesis from 2007 with this usb to usbc adapter

What happens if you unattached the mouse and just use the built in trackpad? Does the hesitation go away?

I ask this as there are lots of post about USB2 issues with the 2020 MBP.

Yes the trackpad has the delay even with the mouse and everything unplugged. The trackpad has the delay as in the slow motion video above (linked again here). I also tried restarting the computer to no avail.

Unless you have a piece of software causing issues, I would call apple and send it back. I can see what you are referring to in your video and that is not acceptable. If you do any work in anything like Photoshop or Illustrator plus a whole lot of of other apps that require precision movements, you will go crazy!

While I am on my third 2020 MBP for an entirely different issue, the mouse in all three performed flawlessly. If it were mine I would send it back.
