New MBP and scanner HP Scanjet 3970

Hi

Just got a MBP last weekend and tried to scan.

I had downloaded the software from the HP site, but I'm getting the Error Msg
sorry scanner could not be initialized. (scanner not found)

It worked fine on my G4 with Leopard.

Am I missing something?
