New MBP beeping with lid closed

Hi,

I just bought my MBP today and have noticed that when the lid is closed and 'no sleep for mac' is running and therefore the mac is on, i get a beeping sound every 4-5 seconds. I have unistalled the app, but was wondering why this occurs and if i can fix it becuase i use the app extensively.
