I have a 18 moth old MBP running XP virtually under VM Ware without problems. The machine has been updated to SL. The experience has been as good as it gets with Windows XP.

I got a new MBP - 3.06Mgz, 8 Gb ram, 500 Gb 7200rpm HD.

A Screamer.

Because I plan to run Soildworks I needed to set up Boot Camp on this new machine. What a PITA. First, can't connect to the network to download SP3. Setup workaround, Downloaded SP3 it fails repeatedly. Find Service Memo on Apple.com, go into the guts of windows, to fix finally it installs. After all this I still cant connect to the Time Capsule under Boot Camp WTF. CD has quit working and my VM Ware network drive no longer works. I am @ my wits end. This reminds me of my pre mac Windows days.

In the virtual machine I had NONE of these issues and I upgraded the old MBP to SL too.

The good news... On the Mac side, this thing screams. It is all setup, iPhones, iPods, everything but the cameras. That's next. And battery life is unreal.
