I have the new MBP and if I am running a full screen program that does not a have minimize button and I want to get to another window that is not already open - which I can access from the hot corners - I have to end the program. The older MBPs have a button on the top row I think it is F11 which will minimize every window - it works for this program on my friends computer but not my new MBP.
How do I minimize all the windows for the new MBP like the button on the top row of the older MBPs?

Read the user manual. IT's in a different location.

You might want to try:
COMMAND-TAB
COMMAND-~

Some reason I had to restore defaults in systempref/key&mouse/shortcuts and now fn f11 works even though I never changed any of them.
