I really thought that this refresh would bring a high end quad core macbook.... i guess not yet. anyways i was looking around and noticed that hp and toshiba both have laptops offering quad core cpus and our apples still only offer the dual core i7. Does anyone think that those quad core laptops out there will out perform the latest 2.66ghz i7 mbp.... how far away do you guys think a quad core mbp is?

Well considering the macbook pro 2.66 i7 has a geekbench of 5300 and the HP envy 1.6 quadcore is 4800 I think the new i7 is quicker. Also we probably wont see a quad core macbook pro for about a year and a half. When the second version of sandy bridge is released.
