I know it's ALL speculation and guessing, but do you think Apple will include retina displays in the new fall update? In my opinion I think they just might. It'd be a nice little package alongside the rumored iPad "HD" that will also have retina displays.

other than the iphone 4s or 5 or whatever its gonna be called, we wont see new macbook pros until next spring in february or march time (first quarter).

it wouldnt make sense for apple to release a big product update like that considering the macbook pros were released back in february and the airs just.. now LOL

if u want a macbook pro go buy one now and enjoy it

its a beast of a machine

There are no commercially available panels that would make the 17" "Retina". For 13", Apple could use 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 for 15" to make them ~150 PPI ("Retina" at 2 feet).

Personally I doubt it. Apple has always updated the resolution step by step.

You mean double the resolution?
2560 x 1600 on the 13"?
2880 x 1800 on the 15"?
3360 x 2100 on the 15"?
3840 x 2400 on the 17"?

Really? 30" with 2560 x 1600 is currently the biggest panel size. Slimming that down to 13" would cost another MBP at least.

But wants are wants I guess.
