Hi, I have just moved up from a mac mini to the newly updated low spec MBP. ( 2.4 pen, 15in, LED, , mtouch etc )

As soon as I booted it up for the first time I had a good look at the gray start up screen to look for imperfections. I noticed that there was a very subtle area at the top of the screen that was a shade or two darker than whatever colour you have displayed at the time. The area is about 1mm thick and runs horizontally on the top right hand side, about 1mm down from the top of the screen.

I cannot see it on the desktop due to the menu bar etc. Only when I have a solid colour on the screen. I think it may be caused by a slight bleed from the top of the screen.

Can anyone else with this machine see anything like this?

I think I will just live with it, I guess I should be grateful that everything else seems ok , touch wood :) ....Its just I like £1300 purchases to be perfect!!!

Manufaturer = 0610
Model = 9c83

PS
Ive not really noticed any yellowing as such, unless I view at an angle. The default calibration is quite washed out so I am going to use a calibration tool soon. Just increasing the gamma to 2.2 has been a quick fix for this until I have more time.
